Un reciente estudio sugiere que el uso excesivo que le dan los padres a la tecnología podría estar causando conflictos y tensión con sus hijos.
“Continuamente los padres sienten que están en más de un lugar a la vez, mientras que están a cargo de sus hijos. Trabajan, se mantienen socialmente, mientras que hacen la cena y atienden a sus hijos. Sin duda es una tarea difícil tratar de equilibrar todo” apunta Jenny Radesky, directora del estudio y experta en comportamiento infantil.
“No es necesario estar disponible al 100% para sus hijos; de hecho es saludable para ellos, desarrollan más independencia. También es importante que los padres se sientan relevantes en el trabajo y en otras partes de sus vidas”, dice Radesky
La tecnología ha cambiado con la forma en que los padres utilizan los medios digitales en presencia de sus hijos. A diferencia con otras distracciones como lo son los libros, televisión, etc. La tecnología, las redes sociales y en sí la forma en la que le demostramos atención, es mucho más exigente e impredecible que sin duda, requiere más inversión emocional.

O tal vez sea justo cuando llegas a casa y tus hijos están emocionados de verte, darles un tiempo para platicar su día. 2.Evita tentaciones. Debemos considerar crear un filtro o bloqueo en el celular, para no tener tentaciones de usar la Tablet o el celular en casa. También, necesitamos repensar alguna forma de reducir el tiempo que usamos la tecnología, si estás el 90% en redes sociales o estás al pendiente de un nuevo correo, es vital trabajar en este punto para lograr un fin positivo.
3.Identifica en que situaciones te estresa más. Identificate situaciones te generan más estrés. Por ejemplo, si te llega algún correo o aviso del trabajo, trata de contestarlo o leerlo cuando tus hijos estén ocupados haciendo alguna actividad. De esta manera podrás dedicarle más tiempo a ellos.
