La serie de Netflix llamada You ha levantado un alud de críticas por el tono tan ligero con el que toca la obsesión amorosa, el acoso, el feminicidio y la manipulación. La serie que navega entre la comedia y el thriller es la crónica de un psicópata que se enamora a primera vista y hace todo lo posible para convencer a la mujer de que es un príncipe azul.
Pero ¿qué es lo que nos deja You?
1. Tenemos que evitar la idealización del amor a primera vista
Por mucho que Hollywood se haya ensañado en decirnos que el amor a primera vista es algo que existe y que es algo a lo que debemos aspirar, en realidad se trata de una inmadurez que socava los fundamentos del amor. Para amar hay que conocer a la persona a todos los niveles. El amor a primera vista, en realidad es un impulso que se reduce a la atracción física.
2. Hay que reflexionar sobre el amor romántico
Parecido a lo del amor a primera vista, tenemos una concepción sobre el amor romántico algo desvencijada: el amor romántico viene de la idea del movimiento artístico y filosófico del romanticismo, donde se apelaba a una vida pasional, irracional. La evolución del amor romántico ha ido evolucionando y ahora lo comprendemos como gestos, atenciones pero en el lado negativo, en ser un tipo de amor posesivo, casi obsesivo y aprehensivo.
3. Tu vida en un click
Si algo visibilizó You es la excesiva confianza que tenemos en nuestras redes sociales. Sin dimensionar, la mayoría de nosotros ponemos información muy personal sin darnos cuenta: desde los lugares a los que vamos, nuestros círculos sociales hasta la ubicación de nuestra casa. Un manejo de redes sociales poco precavida nos convierte en un libro abierto.
4. No romantizar la sociopatía y psicopatía
Si nuestras parejas tienen signos de querer controlarnos, saber dónde estamos 24/7, chantajearnos con que ellas y ellos sólo quieren lo mejor para nosotros, tenemos que andar con cuidado. No son muestras de un amor intenso y profundo, son formas de manipular y controlarnos que se irán agrandando con el tiempo.
5.- Mucho cuidado con qué consumimos en la televisión
Parte de la crítica a You es que banaliza la violencia contra la mujer. Con su tono de comedia, la construcción del acosador en una especie de antihéroe es necesario que sepamos diferenciar de una serie que sólo busca entretenimiento a la gravedad de lo que se vive en la realidad.
