Dicen que el lenguajes es el reflejo de nuestra educación. El uso que hacemos del lenguaje nos sirve para poder comunicarnos mejor, ser más precisos, tener una mayor agilidad mental y evitar el uso de muletillas que entorpecen el mensaje que tratamos de dar.
El castellano es uno de los lenguajes más complejos y profundos en el mundo por lo que limitarnos tiene un dejo de flojera intelectual que no podemos permitirnos. La pregunta ahora es ¿cómo puedo enriquecer el vocabulario?
1. Leer, leer, leer
La lectura es la herramienta fundamental para mejorar nuestro vocabulario. Puedes empezar con lecturas sencillas y poco a poco ir buscando libros y artículos que nos reten más y más. Ponte la tarea de leer al menos 30 minutos al día. En unas semanas vas a empezar a notar las diferencias y los avances en tu uso del español.
2. Diccionario- diccionario de sinónimos
Siempre es útil tener a la mano un diccionario y un diccionario de sinónimos. Evitar usar la misma palabra para una idea es limitar el lenguaje. Los diccionarios son muy útiles para lograr una mayor precisión y claridad y fluidez en nuestro léxico.
3. Etimología
Aunque es una tarea titánica averiguar las raíces de cada palabra, tener una idea de dónde vienen las palabras nos permite tener una idea más clara para poder dilucidar los significados de las palabras. El español es un lenguaje que proviene del latín por lo que puede ser un buen comienzo para saber las raíces del castellano y tener una comprensión más profunda de nuestra lengua.
4. Incorpora las palabras de inmediato
Con las lecturas tu vocabulario se irá expandiendo. Es hora de llevarlo a la práctica. Trata de usar las palabras que vas aprendiendo en tu día a día. De esta forma las vas a ir interiorizando a tu rutina verbal y antes de que te des cuenta tu lenguaje será un catálogo mucho más amplio.
5. No le tengas miedo a las palabras poco comunes
Mucha gente tiene miedo a usar palabras que no son muy conocidas o que son muy específicas y pueden sonar rimbombantes (como la propia palabra rimbombante). No le tengas miedo a esas palabras, enriquecen tu vocabulario y son precisas si son bien usadas.
6. La virtud de las Apps
Hay que aprovechar las nuevas tecnologías. Con las apps para celular hay una infinidad de opciones para seguir aprendiendo. Desde aplicaciones como “Una Palabra” que cada día te enseñan una nueva palabra y ejemplos de cómo utilizarlas, es una opción constante para ir ampliando tu léxico.
